Appleton is teaming up with Green & Black's to run a series of rum and chocolate tastings hosted by J Wray & Nephew's master blender Joy Spence. It will also be giving away bars of Green & Black's Dark 85% Cocoa chocolate bar to consumers who buy Appleton Estate Extra at the Taste of London festival in Regents Park on June 21-24.

Blackwood Distillers has released its 2006 Vintage Dry Gin. For the first time a hint of lime citrus has been added to the vintage, which has already secured listings in Oddbins and Majestic.

Old Pulteney Single Malt Scotch Whisky is strengthening its association with sailing through its sponsorship of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston's quest to be the first over the finish line in the Velux 5 Oceans round the world yacht race.

Cellar Trends is rolling out a marketing campaign for its Luxardo sambuca range. Titled X Marks the Spot, the push aims to encourage shoppers to mix layered Luxardo cocktail shots at home, with recipes featured on a new website www.luxardoteam.co.uk. The brand has also linked up with Itchy City guides to

give insider information on 16 UK cities.

Penderyn Distillery has added two news brands to its portfolio. Brecon Five Vodka is a 100 per cent wheat grain spirit that is column distilled five times, and Brecon Special Reserve Gin is made using 10 botanicals from across the globe. Both are distilled

on-site at the Penderyn Distillery, located in the Welsh Brecon Beacons.

Balblair has launched a website to support the repositioning of its Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The site - www.balblair.com - includes facts about the distillery, information on the revamped packaging and a chance to join an online members' club. Balblair's relaunch will be backed by PR activity, advertising and brand link-ups.
