Spring Lamb's changeover

09 March, 2007

Halewood International has secured

UK distribution rights to Lamb's Navy Rum .

Canadian-based Corby Distilleries, which holds the international rights , awarded the contract to Halewood after Pernod Ricard UK was forced to give up the distribution rights as part of its partnership agreement with rival rum brand Havana Club.

Chief executive John Halewood said: "The Lamb's Navy Rum distribution deal is an opportunity for Halewood International to further strengthen its position in the growing spirits category."

Halewood, which also boasts Red Square Vodka and Caribbean Twist on its spirits portfolio, said it will

implement

"an exciting brand development plan " for Lamb's. The hand-over from

Pernod Ricard will be April 2 .
