Canary Wharf on Oddbins hitlist

04 May, 2007

Oddbins' Canary Wharf store in London is one of the latest to be shut down as part of Castel's closure programme. It is one of 14 branches to be closed since Dec 31.

Others include Bath, Moorgate in London and Bath Road, Bristol. A further 26 - including Winchester, St Albans and Alderley Edge in Cheshire - now have the Nicolas fascia.

One new shop - in the Wirral, Merseyside - has opened, with branches in Woodley, Reading and Kilmarnock Road in Glasgow following in June.

Castel said it is closing unprofitable branches and opening in areas more likely to succeed.
