Three Barrels rolls out promotions

First Drinks Brands is rolling out a marketing campaign for its Three Barrels brandy.

Activity will include a neck-collar promotion on 80,000 bottles giving away a free brandy glass, in-store promotions and a direct mail drop.

A programme of consumer events will take place around the times of key dates in the French calendar to link the brand with the ideas of "warmth, heritage and French provenance ", a spokeswoman said.

Brand manager Mark Collins added: "We have conducted an in-depth consumer research study to better understand the consumer's view of the brandy category and Three Barrels position within it. While Three Barrels is far and away the biggest player in the brandy market, it is vital we retain our emotional connection with consumers and we believe our authenticity is central to that."
