Vodka brand backs UK music festivals

01 June, 2007

Sputnik Vodka is linking up with a host of UK music and dance festivals this summer.

Owned by Russian Vodka House, the brand is the headline sponsor of Global Gathering 2007. Taking place on July 27-28 at Long Marston Airfield in Stratford-Upon-Avon, the dance festival will feature an indoor arena called the Sputnik Launch Pad with Russian DJ's on the line-up. Sputnik's entire range, which includes original, rose petal, basil and horseradish flavours, will be sold in bars and VIP areas during the festival.

The brand will also sponsor the O2 Wireless Festival 2007, taking place in Hyde Park on June 14-17, and Harewood House in Leeds on June 15-17.

"Sputnik have had some innovative ideas in the past while they have continued to support new music. Some ideas are stranger than others such as permitted kidnapping, a fantasy airline, Horseradish flavoured vodka, and vodka blood bags," a spokeswoman said.
