Krugmann creates a cooler bottle

01 June, 2007

German manufacturer Krugmann has created what it says is the first spirits bottle with a natural cooling effect.

Made from two PET bottles, the inner and the outer bottle create an "insulating air cushion that creates a natural thermo-regulating effect," according to export manager Mario Conoscenti.

The range consists of a Strawberry flavoured vodka liqueur, a Vanilla & Caramel cream liqueur, Caipirinha Lime & Cachaca, and a Plum liqueur with winter spices that includes a snowstorm effect in the space between the two bottles. All have have a 15 per cent abv.

"In addition to the enormous potential of design and the reduced risk of breaking, the use of two PET bottles offers additional space for labelling," Conoscenti adds.
