Glen Grant's new clean crisp design

01 June, 2007

Campari is launching Glen Grant Single Malt in redesigned packaging.

The new look bottle is slimmer than the original with a longer, narrower neck and the words "distilled in tall slender stills" have been engraved around the bottom.

A spokesman said: "Glen Grant is distilled in narrow stills which refines the spirit by repeated distillation, in turn producing a more lightly coloured whisky. This inspired the new design with Campari wanting a sleek, fresh bottle that was easy on the eye."

Campari, which acquired Glen Grant in 2006, commissioned Essex-based O-I to design the bottle. Colin Mason, spirits manager at O-I, added: "Glen Grant is renowned for its clear colour and pure taste; we believe the clean, crisp bottle design reflects these values and also helps it stand out on the shelf."

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines.
