All businesses and public places go smoke free on July 1 and those who don't comply with the new law could face fines of up to £2,500.
Employers and managers will need to ensure that customers and staff are aware that shops and other enclosed spaces, such as work vans, are smoke free by displaying a no smoking sign. Signs must be at least 70mm in diameter and be in a prominent position at the store entrance. The government also suggests employees are given training to help them understand the new law.
