A French wine is helping its drinkers to find love by linking them to a dating website. Soif de Coeur, produced by Omnivins, features details of the website and a unique code on the label that users tap in to sign up. Launched in France in March, Omnivins is hoping to bring the wine and the website, created by Imaginform, to the UK after showing it at Vinexpo in Bordeaux. The Vins de Pays d'Atlantique wine is available in three styles: a Merlot/Cabernet, Cabernet/Merlot rosé and Sauvignon/Semillon and has blue packaging for men and pink for women.

Marks & Spencer is holding a wine sale in stores from July 2 to 29. More than 50 wines, including sparkling will be discounted during the promotion with up to £2 off selected bottles.

Champagne Pommery is hosting its annual contemporary art exhibition until Nov 1. The show, called L'Emprise de Lieu or The Meaning of Space, showcases the work of 37 artists including an original from French conceptual artist Daniel Buren. The exhibition will take place in the Champagne house's grounds, grand hall and chalk cellars.

Discovery Wines is launching a

white Zinfandel in the UK. Discovery Beach White Zinfandel comes from California's Lodi region and will be exclusively available to the independent sector from July 1. The wine is bottled under screwcap and has an rrp of £4.49. There are also plans to extend the range this autumn with a Chardonnay and a Shiraz.

Foster's EMEA has introduced an Italian rosé to the UK to boost Italy's rosé offering. Gabbiano IGT Toscana

Rosé is made from Sangiovese and has an rrp of £5.99.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
