Smokers may find that snuff is enough in smoke-free UK

29 June, 2007

Zuka is cashing in on the smoking ban with

two new

snuff products.

Zuka Zee and Zuka Black are being launch ed in the UK after consumer research revealed that demand for tobacco replacements will be high when England goes smoke-free on July 1.

Managing director Michael Coyle said: "We want to bring snuff up to date and make it the tobacco product of choice to a

new generation of British consumers."

Zuka Zee is a menthol-flavoured tobacco-free snuff made from glucose, and Zuka Black is tobacco-based snuff flavoured with citrus fruits. Both are sold in packs containing a cotton handkerchief and instructions on how to use snuff. Each pack also includes two recyclable dispensers containing around 60 shots of snuff.

"At Zuka we think that snuff has been overlooked for a long period as a socially acceptable alternative to smoking," Coyle†added.

Welcoming the wine rookie

Itís all true. Wine writers loaf around in a state of partial inebriation and partial undress, bitching about having to taste free wine all day and using recondite words like malolactic, terroir and recondite.†
