Campo Viejo encourages Rioja drinkers to trade up

27 July, 2007

Pernod Ricard has developed its Campo Viejo Rioja range at the premium end of the market.

Dominio de Campo Viejo Reserva 2001 has an rrp of £12.99 and has been launched in the UK to give Rioja drinkers the chance to trade up.

Adrian Atkinson, wine development director at Pernod Ricard Wine UK, said: "Campo Viejo is the number one Rioja by value in the UK and as such the brand's ability to deliver quality and value at all price points is key to encouraging UK consumers to trade up and buy premium Rioja over £10."

The wine was listed in the top 100 in the 2007 New Wave Spanish Wines Awards.
