08 August, 2007

Welsh beer makers are to get their own trade body, the Association of Welsh Independent Brewers.

In an announcement, at the Great British Beer Festival, founder member Justin ‘Buster’ Grant of Breconshire Brewery said: “The aim of AWIB will be to promote Welsh beers and brewers.

The other founder members of the organization are: Jolly Brewer, Otley, Facers, Conway, Purple Moose, Cwmbran, Tomos Watkin, Evan Evans, Pen-Lon Cottage, Rhymney, Dobbins & Jacksons, Great Orme, Bullmastiff, Black Mountain, Ffos Y Ffin, Flock Inn, Jacobi, Kingstone, Plassey, Swansea and Vale of Glamorgan.
