Chile gears up for annual trade tasting in October

The Wines of Chile annual trade tasting will take place on Oct 16 at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

This year there will be around 100 stands and 1,000 wines to taste and there are focus tastings on rosé wine and Sauvignon Blanc priced between £5.99 and £10 . An additional feature this year is an exhibition of photographs of Chilean wineries and personalities by UK-born photographer Matt Wilson.

Three regional trade tastings have also been organised - in Belfast on Sept 11, Bristol on Sept 26 and Manchester on Oct 18. Belfast and Bristol will also host evening consumer tastings. Attendance can be registered online at winesofchile.org/register.

Wines of Chile is one of three New World generic bodies which have signed a deal with Tasting Buddy to give users advance access to tasting lists.

E-catalogues of wines featuring at annual tastings for Wines of Argentina, Wines of Chile and Wines of South Africa will be available for Tasting Buddy users to view on their PCs up to a week in advance. Once accessed, the e-catalogue can be searched and information filtered so attendees can make their own list of wines they want to try.
