Ballooning range from importer

09 August, 2007

Guy Anderson Wines has launched south of France wine brand, Les Montgolfiers.

The three-strong range is named after 18th-century ballooning brothers Etienne and Joseph Montgolfier, ancestors of range winemaker Thierry Boudinaud.

The range is a Vin de Pays d'Oc Chardonnay and Shiraz plus a Vin de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne Sauvignon Blanc/Gros Manseng .

Guy Anderson said: "We wanted to create a wine that had a unique connection with the south of France and when Thierry told us about his famous forebears, the name was an obvious solution."
