Ballooning range from importer

Guy Anderson Wines has launched south of France wine brand, Les Montgolfiers.

The three-strong range is named after 18th-century ballooning brothers Etienne and Joseph Montgolfier, ancestors of range winemaker Thierry Boudinaud.

The range is a Vin de Pays d'Oc Chardonnay and Shiraz plus a Vin de Pays des Cotes de Gascogne Sauvignon Blanc/Gros Manseng .

Guy Anderson said: "We wanted to create a wine that had a unique connection with the south of France and when Thierry told us about his famous forebears, the name was an obvious solution."

Hofmeister may need more than the bear essentials to succeed

So, George The Bear is back. Itís hard for some of us oldies to fathom, but there are those under, say, 40 who canít actually remember Hofmeister and feel the cultural jolt supplied by the return of both the bear and the beer whose marketing campaigns it used to front.
