Oddbins denies Foster's debt claim
Published:  07 September, 2007

Oddbins has hit back a t Foster's EMEA which has issued a High Court

claim against the retailer for a six-figure sum.

Foster's claims that Oddbins owes it more than £312,000 for wine after wrongfully claiming invalid credit notes and promotional invoices.

In May it issued Oddbins with a

claim for £322,876.43, made up of the money it says Oddbins owes, plus interest and legal costs.

But in defence documents filed by its solicitors, and signed by finance director Timothy Daunt, Oddbins disputes the claim and denies that it owes Foster's a single penny.

The retailer says it has paid all invoices

due and that nothing is outstanding. Oddbins also denies that Foster's EMEA is entitled to damages for any claim for wasted management time.
