The range will initially consist of 10 products ranging from £1 to £3.99, with plans to roll out further products in the future. La Suissa will be available in all 15 Hancocks cash and carries from this month.
"There is a real opportunity for independent retailers to profit from premium chocolates such as La Suissa, instead of continuing to battle it out with the supermarkets on main brands," said purchasing director Richard Brittle.
Hancocks is launching a Christmas campaign to encourage retailers to be more proactive with their ranging. Called Why Follow the Sheep?, the push offers a variety of lesser-known brands and own-label items.
